Northrop Grumman is seeking a U109 Test Equipment Transportation Clerk to support its organization in Linthicum, MD.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Coordinate and process test equipment movement between laboratories, production and development areas.
Support the flow of test equipment and materials to the various engineering, manufacturing, and calibration laboratories.
WORKING PROCEDURE AND/OR RESPONSIBILITY ASSIGNED:
PERFORM WORK OF EQUAL OR LOWER SKILL LEVEL AS REQUIRED.
Receive and induct test equipment and related material supporting engineering, manufacturing, and calibration by utilizing various computerized data management systems.
Loads, unloads, and conveys materials and test equipment within or near plant, yard, or work site.
Performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving.
Opens containers in a safe manner utilizing appropriate hand tools; verify counts, inspects for damage, and inputs information into system and file or process records information.
Loads and unloads materials/test equipment onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines by hand; loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand.
Transport materials/test equipment using trucks, hand trucks, electric dollies, elevators, or other devices; stacks or assembles materials/test equipment; aids machine operators by lifting heavy objects by hand or by use of power hoist.
Process, route, and dispatch material and test equipment in accordance with calibration requirements.
This is a SEA Union represented position.
This is a 1st shift position.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
HS graduate or recognized equivalent.
Must participate in Northrop Grumman training as required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Must be literate in computer operations at the entry level.
Must have prior experience interpreting engineering drawings.
Five year driving experience and possession of a valid Driver's License and must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
