Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently hiring for a Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our Mission Systems Division’s Global Supply Chain team.
This position is located in Linthicum, MD.
Job Duties: Define and develop material strategy.
Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products.
Participate in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management.
Analyze and aggregate supply / demand requirements.
Analyze purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.
Plan inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements.
Assess rough-cut capacity for current and short-term manufacturing requirements.
Create/reduce supply requirements based on inventory adjustments.
Participate in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs.
Interface with Source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital and other areas as needed.
Receive and review requirements for non-standard parts.
Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements.
Basic Qualifications for a Supply Chain Planning Specialist: A bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 3+ years experience planning; OR a master's degree and 1 or more years of supply chain, planning, or closely related experience; 7+ years additional years of supply chain experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP system MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Basic Qualifications for a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist: A bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 6+ years experience planning; OR a master's degree and 4+ or more years of supply chain, planning, or closely related experience; 9+ years additional years of supply chain experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP system MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: Supply chain experience for an aerospace and/or defense company.
Salary Range: $68,800 - $103,200 Salary Range 2: $84,600 - $127,000 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
