As an integral part of our architect group in the Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) team in Linthicum, MD, you will be the architect for one of the major sensors that comprise the Silver Streak family.
You will work directly with the overall architect for the entire NG Silver Streak family to ensure that the implementations and impacts are well-understood.
You will coordinate with your program’s peer leaders including SEIT, HW, SW, and Chief Engineers.
Role responsibilities include: Interface directly with internal and external customers to identify recommended system implementations Participate in system engineering functions such as: CONOPS development, system architecture, subsystem design/analysis, creation and maintenance of system/subsystem requirements and interface requirements / definition documentation, timing and sizing, design reviews, system integration, test and/or verification Perform design trades to assess cost and schedule impacts Participate in the Technical Review Board (TRB) and Change Control Board (CCB) and process.
Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Analyze all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with at least 14 years of professional experience in a related area; 12 years of experience with a Master's degree; 9 years with a PhD.
4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
US Citizenship is required.
Active DoD Secret clearance required Ability to obtain SAP prior to start Experience with sensor implementation and trade Experience defining test approaches to support requirements verification and validation.
Experience with data analysis and signal processing Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics or related technical fields.
Current DoD Top Secret Clearance, SAP/SAR accesses, or SCI eligibility Experience with descriptive modeling, developing system and/or component level behavioral models Experience with C/C++ or Python or MATLAB Experience with requirements derivation and management using DOORS or Cameo including creation and management of custom views and attributes Multiple domain experience across the electromagnetic spectrum (e.
g.

The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
This position is contingent upon transfer of DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
Salary Range: $157,500 - $236,300 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
