The Senior Manager, Production Scheduling will report to the Director, Supply Chain Planning and Scheduling.
This role will oversee a team of schedulers and specialists and lead all production scheduling activities for the Maryland sites as well as develop master scheduling to plan for projects transitioning from Product Development to Production.
This individual will play a primary role in establishing team best practices and will assist in introducing improved planning tools.
The Senior Manager, Production Scheduling will also oversee the further development of the Ready-to-Execute (RTE) program which will shape the operating model for the world’s largest cell and gene therapy manufacturing site.
The goal of RTE is on-time start success for planned campaigns by managing all elements that affect schedule adherence.
This role is a hands-on position and will lead cross-functional resources to collaborate to bring transparency to all elements needed for manufacturing readiness.
This role will work with internal business partners, technical leaders, and subject matter experts to ensure all issues are escalated and that data-driven decisions are made to ensure Catalent commercial success.

The role: Lead a team of schedulers to maintain short-term and mid-term production schedules to deliver on commitments to clients based on verified capacity and resources.
Maintain and publish a master integrated schedule and review with stakeholders daily.
Continue to develop the Ready-to-Execute program in cooperation with members of the Site Leadership Team as well as functional stakeholders.
Maximize on-time start and overall on-stream time for the BWI manufacturing operation which is multi-suite, multi-customer, and multi-product by effectively highlighting and coordinating actions that are necessary for campaign success.
Create and implement sustainable KPIs, tools and processes to enable data-driven decisions in scheduling the facility.
Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, daily tier meetings, and internal client team meetings.
Work in close collaboration with the Material Planners and Material Control to synchronize activities.
Construct visual dashboards to demonstrate real-time manufacturing readiness for active clients and campaigns.
Build and oversee a team to drive the manufacturing readiness program with manufacturing tech transfer, planning and master scheduling.
The candidate: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain or equivalent required.
