Grounded Electrical Construction is looking for a Project Manager to join our dedicated team.
This position would be located in the greater Baltimore/Washington area.
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing large projects from commencement to completion.
Project Manager will interpret technical statements of work and design documentation as it relates to project planning, budgeting, procurement, implementation, testing, training, and project completion.
The project Manager will work with a variety of documentation including Transmittals, Submittals, Change Requests, Purchase Orders, RFI’s, and Subcontracts to ensure high-quality of work for the project.
Project Manager will plan, schedule, adjust, and maintain timelines in a fast-paced construction/installation environment while maximizing resources and optimizing budgets.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the Vice President of Construction and Field teams; Project Managers and Office staff.
Act as a liaison and point of contact with the General Contractor, regarding cost, scheduling, and close-out documents for multiple projects.
Design participation, pre-construction, construction, BIM, and testing coordination.
Maintain constant and effective communications with team members, internal/external customers, and vendors.
Managing projects, subcontracts, suppliers, and inspectors to meet construction deadlines and client expectations.
Reviewing design documents, plans, specifications, estimates, schedules, and reports.
Produce and coordinate change order cost estimates, preparing related reports, budgeting, and accounting practices.
Manage cost, schedule, and resource-loaded schedules providing billings, cash-flow, and manpower forecasting with complete job costing reviews.
Develop professional documents; edit and proof written materials; prepare and maintain complete reports and records.
Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work in a timely and professional manner.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical construction.
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of Construction (technology, equipment, methods), industry practices, estimating/budgeting, scheduling and safety requirements.
Proficiency using various software applications (AutoCAD, Primavera Scheduling, MS Office Suite, Procore and AccuBid.
)
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Working knowledge of contract language and legal requirements of contracts.
Ability to forecast and resolve project disputes.
