Reliability and Maintenance (RAM) Engineer
Reliability engineers aim to avoid failures in production systems.
They compare pieces of equipment, individual mechanical components and manufacturing processes to determine which combination of parts creates the most reliable and fail-safe system.

Minimum Qualifications:
15 years experience
Must hold an ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial/System Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Relevant experience with industrial manufacturing equipment and / or trades experience is an asset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to adapt and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Computer proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Maximo.
Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or similar Engineering Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to remain flexible in the face of changing market forces and organizational priorities.
Ability to comfortably interact in a matrixed reporting structure with competing interests and priorities.
Responsibilities:
Develops reliability engineering designs and programs to achieve reliability objectives and support proposed changes in design.
Support the development of different logistical documents related to satellite communication systems including LORA, Technical Manuals and Logistics Demonstration Reports.
Perform reliability and maintenance analysis of radio frequency and digital communications equipment.
Analyzes engineering-design concepts to recommend design or test methods for attaining or improving specified operational reliability, using knowledge of reliability engineering and other technologies.

Analyze downtime, quality, safety, and financial data to identify areas of focus for the maintenance and operations teams
Conduct and coordinate failure investigations, including analyzing failure mechanisms and implementing solutions to improve reliability, quality, safety, and financial performance.
Redesign machinery and / or processes to improve plant reliability and lower operating costs.
Direct supervision of the Reliability Technicians.
Direct oversight of the preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Evaluates and recommends equipment performance to improve efficiency, capability and yield.
Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventative and unscheduled maintenance)
Recommends and implements procedures that creates a maintenance culture driven by life cycling strategies and is proactive/predictive in nature.
Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.
As needed, work with satellite terminal OEMs to ensure preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.
g.
, mechanical, electrical) is performed in accordance with operational requirements.
Establish effective preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
Define root cause failure analysis (RCFA).
Implement corrective improvement plans using root cause analysis to identify issues with plant equipment.
Implement solutions to reduce downtime.
Lead reliability programs.
Oversee Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and other Reliability Centered Maintenance efforts.
Define equipment critical paths, job scopes, troubleshooting, and diagnosing problems.
Troubleshoot issues with mechanical equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, pumps, gearboxes, blowers, generators, boilers, etc.
)
Provide support to establish adequate spare parts and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment.
Provide support for major machinery overhauls, equipment replacement, etc.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
