PURPOSE AND SCOPE
This key position is responsible for making our customer’s project come to life and to ensure all products are installed accurately, in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of our valued customers.
The Installer will be responsible for site prep work, simple carpentry work, as well as the installation of all GDI product lines.
The Installer may assist with the training, planning, assigning, and directing of work for the Apprentice in accordance with GDI’s policies and installation practices.
Knowledge and Work Experience Required:
The Installer must complete the Apprentice Development Program and have a minimum of 3-6 months of in the field training prior to promotion.
Job Duties and responsibilities: (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED)
1.
As a representative of the company the Installer is responsible for the behavior and performance of the crew, and will be evaluated on customer feedback include online reviews.
2.
Review work jacket with supervisor
3.
Review and confirm accuracy of breakout in accordance with customer contract
4.
Perform site prep which includes any work needed to modify the existing structure.
5.
Carpentry work can include deck modifications, dormer installation, overhang cutoffs, wood knee wall builds, wall alterations, floor and ridge plates, and finish carpentry work.

Simple and complex decks

Demolition
8.
Layout and cut all materials to install the job
9.
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work site
10.
Install All View, ComfortView, and Solarium products
11.
Ability to complete basic carpentry duties such as dormer attachment, fascia removal, standard fascia attachment, etc.
Able to build simple decks as well as demolition of old rooms.
12.
Performs service work
13.
Collect necessary stage payments from customer when applicable
14.
May be responsible for set up, take down, and repair of displays used for various outside marketing events
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, lift, climb, and bend.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move 50 – 100 pounds.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
