Duties
Required to perform Lifeguard duties, responsible for safeguarding the lives of persons using the swimming pool.
Rescues swimmers and administers first aid as required.
Ensures that safety rules are followed.
Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc.
Assists in maintaining pool and area clean and free from any hazards and provides information to swimmers regarding safety rules and procedures.

Requirements Conditions of Employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
SCHEDULE: Availability to work irregular hours to include weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.

Incumbent may also required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
Physical Requirement: Able to lift and carry up to forty (40) pounds.
Qualifications QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 1.
Work experience related to the duties described above that included customer service, operation and maintenance of sports facilities and fitness equipment.

Possess the following certificates: a.
Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) b.
First Aid Certification (Certificates issue by American Red Cross, Ellis @ Associates, Star Guard or other nationally recognized agencies are acceptable) c.
American Red Cross "Automated External Defibrillator" (AED) certification or nationally recognized equivalent i.
e.
Ellis & Associates AED certification THIS POSITION REQUIRES PROOF OF CERTIFICATIONS.
