Senior Technician

Senior Technician – Fort Meade, MDPOSITION DESCRIPTION: The selected candidate will: The Technician shall be skilled in construction, assembly, fabrication and testing of electric, electronic, and mechanical prototypes and products.
MINIMUM/GENERAL EXPERIENCE: BA degree in Computer Science or related field is desired or Twelve (12) years of experience in construction, assembly, fabrication and test of electrical, electronic, and mechanical prototypes and products with appropriate certifications as required.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated experience/knowledge in the following areas: *Collaborate with senior engineering technicians, assemblers/fabricators, mechanical designers, and technical writers; take direction from an Engineer or Engineering Technician Level 3.
*Conducts tests and documents test results in accordance with an approved test plan.
*Prepare and validate parts lists.
*Effectively communicate, both written and verbally to the technical team, management, and the customer concerning status of work.
*Lead and communicate requirements to contractor engineering technicians, assemblers/fabricators, mechanical designers, and technical writers.
*Independently perform tests and document the tests results, following an approved test plan.
