Contract Risk Associate PERI is currently looking for a Contract Risk Associate to join our team! The primary responsibility of PERI's Contract Risk Associate is to maintain, update, and improve the nationwide Contract Management System.
The Contract Risk Associate collaborates with internal teams, external vendors, and customers to ensure the company's operations adhere to legal requirements.
By utilizing PERI's resources effectively, the Contract Risk Associate enforces measures to mitigate risk exposure.
Furthermore, the Contract Risk Associate plays a pivotal role in upholding the company's integrity and ethical standards.

What you’ll do in a typical day: Contract Management System: Maintain contractual records and documentation, contractual changes and other documents for all projects that come through the Contract Management System Maintain blanket agreement database ​​​​​​​Collaboration: In co-operation with outside legal counsel, provide suggestions and help in the negotiation of blanket agreements.
Participate in the resolution of contract disputes and other pre/post contract matters.
Assist in the development and implementation of (a) procedures for contract management and (b) administration in compliance with Company policies.
Handle certain communication with external legal counsel and work with Legal counsel to coordinate contractual requirements Communicate with other departments, on tasks or projects as assigned.
​​​​​​​Mitigate risk exposure: Review and provide risk/legal perspective on a variety of business documents.
Provide training to new Area Sales Representatives and other employees in contracting practices and procedures.
Initiate renegotiation when needed.
Identify areas of recurring challenges and come up with short term/ long-term solutions.
Monitor competitive terms and conditions, in addition to monitoring customer satisfaction with our terms, conditions and contracting practices.
Recommend changes for continuous improvement.
What you'll need to be successful: Demonstrated ability to work independently and build and maintain strong relationships within a team setting, along with the ability to manage and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable performing negotiation and dispute resolution tasks with internal and external stakeholders.
Creative and strategic thinker who possesses excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence to effectively convey information and communicate to various levels of an organization.
Critical thinker with advanced problem-solving skills.
Ability to understand and comply with federal, state, and local laws/guidelines/regulations.
Preferred experience in construction sector.
Self-motivated with a strong competitive drive and a resilient nature.
Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to problem-solve.
Goal and results oriented mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time, tasks, and resources.
Paralegal Certification a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office application and computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to utilizing new technology/software.
