Electrical Contracting company looking to hire a full-time experienced Roadway Electrical Mechanic for our Roadway Department.
Job Duties
Work consists of installations, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial and industrial electrical industry.
To be considered, all candidates must be able to:
Exercises direct authority over all job site operations, including providing instructions to crew members with respect to quality control and corrective action.
Coordinates work with other trades, including statement of work and quality control.
Enforces Company safety policies and standard operating procedures, job specific safety requirements, and OSHA.
Responsible for contract compliance, including materials, RFIs, project closeout, meetings, documentation and onsite records of quality assurance practices.
Additional responsibility for documentation beyond project scope, as well as project administration, accounting, safety, and operations.
Oversees field operations, including manpower.
Forecasts and schedules manpower needs.
Plans, allocates resources and manages to completion.
Tracking, managing and maintaining company equipment, tools, and inventory.
Manages material needs.
Perform electrical tasks with general supervision.
Read and accurately interpret construction electrical drawings, terminate cables, and install and trouble shoots control wiring from drawings.
Organize materials and tools to maintain clean and neat work areas.
Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment.
Perform all duties and responsibilities of a journeyman electrician
Qualifications
A valid driver's license
State issued electrical license
Journeyperson 4 years of education preferred
Experience: 4+ years of experience
Roadway experience preferred
Knowledge of electrical code
Rate information using personal judgment or standards that can be measured or checked
Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
Ability to use reason and logic
Ability to perform arithmetical operations rapidly and accurately
Ability to see detail in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes or shadings; and to picture flat drawings as 3-dimensional objects
Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, push, pull and reach overhead
Can sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Capable of repetitive use of arms, hand and fingers
Ability to lift workloads up to 50 lbs.

Ability to be cleared for entrance into government facilities
Drug Testing and Background check required.
