The *Site Safety Manager* performs field safety duties by performing safety surveys of WMS construction project sites and completing written reports of those surveys.
To manage the construction site safety program by ensuring that field personnel are not subjected to hazardous and dangerous site work conditions from identified safety problems, fire hazards, environmental issues, and/or adverse health hazards.
*Role and Responsibilities*
* Perform responsibilities with excellence in service, integrity and in a professional manner.
Responsible for the assembly and delivery of project start up safety packages for new WMS project
* Responsible for “Just in Time” onsite education and other initiatives
* Perform daily construction site safety inspections.
Identify safety issues and recommend solutions for acceptable compliance.
To complete a daily safety inspection report for each job site visit and save those reports on project network.
To review the findings of each visit with project supervision and to identify corrective actions.
* To assist and work with the WMS Safety Director on site safety issues, incident investigation and reporting, and to complete assignments from the Safety Director in a timely manner.
* Assist sub-contractors by reviewing, editing, and then submitting those safety plans to the project owner
* Work with Owner Safety Representatives and OCIP Programs
* Provide Safety training for the WMS field personnel.
* Must be a good communicator, able to converse with field level personnel and supervisors on safety topics
* Advise WMS Supervisors and contractor site foremen of WMS or Owners safety issues and procedures.
* Safely drive and operate a company vehicle if one is assigned
* Cooperate and work with the WMS Safety Director
* Identify unsafe field operations and tasks and to take corrective actions to eliminate the work hazards.
* Assist the WMS Safety Director in maintaining company safety standards.
* Identifies, listens, and acts on construction site employee safety issues.
*Qualifications and Education Requirements*
* Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
* 3-5 years field safety experience.
*Preferred Skills and Training (The company will provide when necessary)*
*Including but not limited to:*
* Minimal level: OSHA 30 Trained
* OSHA 10 and 30 hour Authorized Trainer recommended
* Asbestos Lead, and Silica Awareness training is recommended
* First Aid, /CPR trained
* AOA (Airport Operations Area) Experience (desired)
