Duties
You will serve as an Electronics Technician (CYBER) and be responsible for providing technical support to customers who need assistance utilizing client-level hardware and software in accordance with established or approved organizational process components (i.
e.
, Master Incident Management Plan, when applicable).
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
Typical work assignments include: Troubleshooting, repairing, preventive maintenance and configuration control, life cycle support, asset tracking, installation assistance when required of Short Range Aids to Navigation (SRAN) electronic Assets.
Reviewing test and quality assurance procedures, and desk guides.
Responsible for dividing fiscal year funding and budget development and management.
Working with Coast Guard Item Manager (IMs) to manage repair item catalog, and repair workflow.
Reviewing and maintaining drawings and ensure they conform to Coast Guard Standards.
Managing support development, review, evaluate, and technical improvement of overall system performance.
Supervising a staff by providing guidance on maintenance management and centralized support for navigation systems.
