Job Description:
As a Group Leader at BW Papersystems, you will be responsible for overseeing material receipt, storage, and delivery while providing guidance and mentorship to a dedicated team of Stores Material Handlers.
Concurrently, you'll champion the cultivation of a collaborative environment and foster professional growth among your assigned team, all contributing to our collective success.
Job Responsibilities:
Interpret and execute instructions from shop orders, receiving reports, and verbal directives to manage material disposition effectively.
Fill and distribute material and repair orders efficiently to meet operational demands.
Prepare items for shipment by labeling, packing, and loading them according to specified guidelines.
Unload incoming trucks, conduct inspections for damage, and verify received items against freight bills.
Maintaining accurate documentation of all received and shipped items; conducting cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and reconciling discrepancies.
Assess workforce requirements, assign tasks based on priority and individual capabilities, and ensure availability of necessary materials and tools to facilitate workflow.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced team members, fostering a positive work environment.
Communicate team performance against relevant KPIs, develop corrective action plans, and establish standard work procedures.
Ensure cleanliness and safety in work areas, report and address unsafe practices or conditions promptly.
Demonstrate consistent attendance and adherence to assigned shifts or schedules, including willingness to work overtime as needed.
Adhere to established safety procedures in all work activities.
Fulfill any additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience using Microsoft suite required
3+ years of direct receiving experience
Experience managing small teams
