Public Works Inspector I

Duties include but are not limited to: • Provide daily site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications and codes; and maintain up-todate project records • Document the quantity of materials delivered through the applicable method of measurement in the contract • Review progression of work to monitor and generally reconcile against construction schedule • Review progress payment requests and aid the Resident Inspector in the approval process • Inform and provide documentation to the Resident Inspector when contractual or regulatory violations • Generate an Inspector's Daily Report detailing jobsite activities • Perform construction quality control and reviews Experience/ Skills Required: • Minimum of three years of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior construction inspection experience • Familiarity with water/sewer pipeline replacement/rehabilitation, and environmental projects • Ability to read construction plans and drawings • Knowledge of construction methods and procedures, City's specifications, standards, and codes for construction projects • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
