Michael Baker is actively seeking a senior water/wastewater/stormwater Project Manager for our Baltimore , Maryland location.
We provide a flexible work environment with a balance mix of office, home and field work.
You’ll be a part of our team of talented engineers working on a variety of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects that include planning, design, engineering and construction support.
Tasks will include the following with respect to water, wastewater, and stormwater systems: Assist in planning studies, analyses and preliminary engineering efforts.
Develop engineering reports and technical memoranda.
Perform hydraulic modeling.
Prepare design calculations, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
Research products and materials and conduct technical evaluations.
Assist with the preparation of quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates, etc.
Participate in field visits and investigations.
Participate in client meetings, meeting preparation and presentations.
Support construction efforts by reviewing shop drawings for conformance to contract documents.
Assist in the management and supervision of contractors and subconsultants during all project phases.
Assist with technical proposals during the pursuit of key projects.
Communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams from other disciplines (including cost estimators, GIS, designers, surveyors, and other engineers).
Work with senior Project Engineers and Managers who will guide you in the development of project documents.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field.
10-15 years professional experience in the study, design, and administration of water, wastewater and or stormwater infrastructure systems.
Professional Licensure - Maryland PE license required (or ability to obtain by comity.
) Demonstrated proficiency in organization and presentation of documentation.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and or Microstation.
Knowledge of Civil 3D and or Open Roads a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint is required.
Be self-starter, versatile and interested in working on a variety of projects.
Have excellent technical writing and communication skills.
COMPENSATION The approximate compensation range for this position is $105,989 to $165,525.
This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.

Protection and management of water resources starts at the watershed level and follows the movement of water through urban and agricultural areas, streams, lakes and reservoirs, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and water/wastewater treatment plants.
