Quality Inspector

Responsibilities 1.
Perform product inspections that adhere to quality standards set by Marlin Steel and/or clients 2.
Identify opportunities to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts.
3.
Analyze quality control results and provide feedback or support to production management or staff.
4.
Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors.
5.
Evaluate quality of materials or products and advise customers on technical or procedural issues 6.
Complete first article inspections and in-process inspections to ensure product is making made properly 7.
Maintain documentation throughout quality process so that issues and solutions are well documented and travelers are correct moving throughout the plant.
8.
Other tasks as assigned Qualifications 1.
3+ years of experience working in a Quality role with a manufacturing background.
2.
Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and leadership skills to overcome obstacles.
3.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlines.
4.
Must possess strong attention to detail and project management skills.
5.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6.
Proficient in MS Word and Excel Beginning hourly range will be $25 per hour but negotiable depending on experience.
