*Pattern Maker* G8RTech, a cutting-edge protective equipment company established in 2023, is revolutionizing sports safety with its flagship product, the G8RSkin—a groundbreaking balaclava-like shell designed to be worn under helmets across various sports.
Invented by college athlete Carter Hogg, the G8RSkin boasts a proprietary design that has proven effective in reducing the risk of concussions, setting new standards for safety and performance in the sports industry.
As we continue to innovate and expand our product line, G8RTech is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pattern Maker to join our dynamic team.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Pattern Maker will be a key player in shaping the future of sports safety through the development and refinement of patterns for our cutting-edge protective gear.
*Responsibilities* * *Develop Comprehensive patterns:* Create full patterns and all related graded patterns, ensuring precision and accuracy to meet the highest standards of quality.
* *Refine Patterns:* Collaborate closely with the design team to refine patterns based on feedback from prototypes, incorporating improvements and adjustments to optimize functionality and fit.
* *Vendor Collaboration:* Engage with vendors as needed, providing clear explanations of patterns and addressing any questions or concerns to ensure a seamless production process.
* *Sample Maker Collaboration:* Work closely with local sample maker to develop high quality samples/prototypes for the patterns developed, addressing any questions or concerns that may arise.
* *Tech Pack Management:* Create and regularly update Teck Packs with detailed illustrations, offering clear guidance to streamline the manufacturing process and maintain consistency in product quality.
* *Pattern Grading Consultation/Capability: *Supervise pattern graders when building out sizes or else have the capability to grade out patterns individually.
*Qualifications* * *Location Requirement:* Must be located in Baltimore, MD * *Experience:* Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in pattern making (and ideally grading as well) within the apparel or protective gear industry.
Experience/familiarity with CAD programs such as Gemini, AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, Fusion 360, etc.
* *Communication Skills:* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information effectively.
* *Attention to Detail:* Strong attention to detail, precision, and accuracy in pattern creation to uphold the high-quality standards of G8RTech products.
*Compensation* * Competitive salary commensurate with experience and expertise.
* The Pattern Maker will be paid on a project by project basis.
* The hourly rate will likely come out to be around $75 - $150 per hour.
