Job Title: Power or HVAC Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Power or HVAC Technician to join our team.
The primary responsibility of the technician is to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot various power systems or HVAC equipment efficiently and safely.
The technician will work on a range of projects and is expected to demonstrate superior technical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain power system equipment such as generators, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and electrical panels
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including compressors, motors, pumps, fans, and other components
- Diagnose and identify electrical or mechanical malfunctions in power or HVAC systems and develop appropriate repair strategies
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations during installation and repair work
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and testing performed on power or HVAC systems
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced technicians when required
- Stay updated with the latest developments and advancements in power or HVAC technology
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout and after each task
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders regarding project status and requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical or vocational training in power systems or HVAC is highly preferred
- Proven experience as a Power or HVAC Technician, demonstrating strong technical skills and expertise
- Extensive knowledge of the installation, maintenance, and repair of power systems or HVAC equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions and diagrams
- Ability to effectively use hand and power tools
- Solid understanding of electrical codes and safety guidelines
- Good communication skills and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
