Salary: $85,000 to $95,000
Daily Responsibilities:
Maintain excellent relationships with clients, building occupants, the contractor and Design teams
Provide daily site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes
Coordinate in the field with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers, and regulatory agencies
Prepare daily reports
Review the Contractor's schedule
Labor compliance
Coordinate 3rd-party special material testing inspections
Review and provide input on potential change order issues
Maintain project records
Manage project photographic records
Verification of field surveys
Report on project issues and provide status updates
Perform other duties as may be required.
Required Qualifications (Experience, Education, Certifications, Clearances, etc.
):
The inspector should have ten (10) years of experience inspecting electrical construction.
The inspector should have experience inspecting fire alarm construction.
The inspector should be a master, journeyman or certified electrical inspector
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations with 30HR OSHA Safety card (prior to start);
The ability to work well with others, and willingness to learn in a team environment;
Strong computer skills, experience with Windows Office and construction management software.
Experience working on projects in occupied buildings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as an Electrical Inspector on GSA projects and familiarity with federal policies and procedures
Experience as an Electrical Inspector working on large interior office renovations.
