What We’re Looking For: JPA is currently seeking a full-time, highly motivated Mechanical Project Engineer/Designer with building mechanical systems design experience, including several years of design experience within the building and construction industry.
You should expect to work primarily with project engineers, project managers, and other senior staff; coordinate with the work of other trades; and serve an active role in the daily design, engineering, and production of projects.
Ideal candidates should possess the following:
Bachelor and/or Master degree(s) in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering;
1-5 years of experience;
EIT status (or pending PE licensure) is recommended, but not required;
Proficiency in Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD design software is required;
Proficiency and/or experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Acrobat, and other commonly-used engineering software packages.
Ideal candidates must also demonstrate:
Professional work ethic and strong desire to work as part of a multi-discipline design team;
Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
Problem-solving, decision-making, and analytic skills;
Progressive, energetic, and positive work attitude to contribute to and excel in a team environment;
Familiarity with national, state, and local building codes, energy codes, and industry standards;
Experience in design, modeling, and drafting building mechanical system components.
