Position Summary
In this role, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot physical security electronic, mechanical and Closed-Circuit Televisions (CCTV) equipment.
Work may be performed in confined spaces, hazardous areas, commercial leased facilities and/or Government owned facilities as well as at heights on masts, towers, an/or roofs.
Lift of equipment will be required and may long periods of standing or sitting.
Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:
Installing components and wiring on Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Access Control Systems (ACS), and Closed-Circuit Televisions (CCTV).
Equipment Includes: door contacts, motion detectors, duress switches, glass break sensors, card readers, command keypads, turnstiles, request for exit devices, equipment enclosures, junction boxes, power supplies, media converters, cameras, camera lenses, camera mounts, copper, and fiber optic wiring for all.
Ensuring work is in accordance with applicable codes and standard practices.
Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and recommending solutions for system errors and failures.
Installing, maintain, and repairing IDS on Perimeter Fencing.
Conducting quality assurance (QA) on all IDS, ACS, and CCTV equipment installations.
Programming and troubleshooting of security system software may be required.
Position / Candidate Requirements:
An active TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph required
Education: Computer Science, Electrical, or a Related Technical Discipline.
High School, GED, or Above and 6+ of installation of security, video surveillance, card access, and alarm systems of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Low voltage experience is required.
Must be factory trained in the installation and maintenance of industry standard IDS, ACS and/or CCTV solutions, for example LENEL, HONEYWELL, SENSORMATIC or BOSCH.
Must be able to interpret and understand work orders, manuals, blueprints, and standards compliance and schematic diagrams to conduct this work.
Must be LENEL Certified Associate (LCA) certified or must be obtain LCA within six (6) months of being hired.
BICSI certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time.
Must have a valid U.
S.
Passport.
Will be required to obtain and maintain appropriate industry safety certifications.
Must have a successful background working with multidisciplinary teams, strong time management, and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
Requires strong Oral and Written Communications Skills.
Abilities:
Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time.
Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.
Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
