We do real-time big data analytics, driving collaboration across various defense agencies, while empowering the data analyst to gain the efficiencies and effectiveness offered by our sophisticated data mining application.
The primary mission is to provide national policy makers with the most accurate and up-to-date data analytic capabilities, thereby helping them with decisions affecting national security issues.
This is a multi-year contract and the team is currently centered around developing and supporting a cutting-edge application in an Amazon Web Services-based Micro services framework.
Boeing Intelligence & Analytics is seeking a motivated and talented Network Engineer.
Work Location: Annapolis Junction, MD Remote Work: To be determined What you will do (day in the life): Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
Apply Standard Characteristics of Labor Category Capability Levels, provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
Isolate and resolve of hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof.
Apply Standard Characteristics of Labor Category Capability Levels, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems.
Requirements: TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field 5+ years of experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree) DoD 8570 - Security+CE Proficient knowledge in Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/Cisco ASA FW configuration(s), management, and software upgrades Solid understanding of TCP/IP related protocols, Dynamic Routing Protocols, Switching technologies and features Ability to successfully solve complex network related problems reported by users/clients within a secure environment Comfortable with AD, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, WINDOWS SERVER 2016/2019, WINDOWS 10 Experience with VMWare's vSphere virtualization suite Skilled in system patching and vulnerability remediation Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities Able to work in a team environment as well as independently Experienced in Linux and Windows systems and how they interact in the compute environment on the network.
DoD 8570 Industry Certification in one or more of the following: CISSP, Security+, CISA, GSEC, CAP, SCNA, SCNP, SSCP, GSLC, GSE Cisco CCNP Certification or higher Experience with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator Experience with Centralized Logging Products (Splunk, etc.
).
Knowledge of COMSEC and encryption technologies Experience Administering Cloud Environments (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.
) Experience Administering Jira Experience with OWL, forcepoint, radiant mercury, ISSE guard and Cisco Experience working with unified comms, F5 load balancers Experience with Cross Domain Systems (forcepoint, owl) Experience with palo alto, cisco switches and routers, Linux, and troubleshooting system networks.

Summary Pay Range: Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only.
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
