*The Role*
As a Maintenance Technician, you will create an environment where our residents will love where they live by managing the general maintenance and curb appeal of the apartment community.
You will report to our Director Facilities Management or Property Manager.
*Responsibilities*
The responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician are as follows:
* HVAC: repairs, cleans, replaces, etc.
* Plumbing: repairs, replace parts, installation (sinks, toilets, faucets, etc.
)
* Carpentry: repairs and installs doors, shelves, countertops, locks, etc.
* Painting: drywall/plaster repairs, painting
* Electrical/Appliance: lighting, wiring, power circuits, replacing switches, lamps, etc.
* Machinery: repair and maintain chillers, belts, pumps, fans, etc.
* Other duties as assigned
* Ensure resident requested service orders are logged and completed on a timely basis.
* Comply with all OSHA regulations and health, safety and environmental laws
* Most importantly is the ability to provide exceptional customer service
*Qualifications*
The qualifications of the Maintenance Technician are as follows:
* A minimum of 1 year of related experience.
* High school diploma or equivalent is required.
* Strong knowledge in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems.
HVAC certification is strongly preferred.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to multitask, stay organized and meet deadlines.
* Able to be on-call to respond to after-hours emergencies.
* Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
