Summary:
The Transportation Motor Pool Manager manages the day to day operations of the installation transportation motor pool effort.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Transportation Motor Pool Manager is directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the installation transportation effort.
Duties include:
Management of transportation motor pool operations
Developing and implementing maintenance management standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Attending meetings, preparing reports and documentation as needed
Resolving maintenance issues and requirements identified during the period of performance of the contract.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Candidate must demonstrate capability to manage transportation operations in support of an Army Installation in addition to the following:
Comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in management, acquisition, and use of motor vehicles operations
Comprehensive knowledge of all installed product software at the use/operator level and automated data processing policies and procedures as they pertain to assigned equipment, both LIS and Installation desktop computers which will allow the contractor to solve and/or contact appropriate technical support to resolve any problem associated with these systems
Ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers
Comprehensive knowledge of all installed product software at the use/operator level and automated data processing policies and procedures as they pertain to assigned equipment, both LIS and Installation desktop computers which will allow the contractor to solve and/or contact appropriate technical support to resolve any problem associated with these systems
Ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers
Ability to proficiently utilize collective data system, Federal Automotive Statistical Tool (FAST), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), and the Fleet Management Information System (FMIS)
Comprehensive knowledge of the Defense Management, Acquisition, and Use of Motor Vehicles.
ensuring that scheduling, dispatching, maintaining vehicles; movement of cargo; receiving and issuing vehicles, and maintaining and providing accurate equipment records are all performed in accordance with applicable regulation and SOPs
Ability to proficiently utilize collective data system, Federal Automotive Statistical Tool (FAST), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), and the Fleet Management Information System (FMIS)
Comprehensive knowledge of the Defense Management, Acquisition, and Use of Motor Vehicles
Possess verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions
Minimum Job Requirements:
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance
Must have as a minimum a high school diploma
Must have a minimum of Ten (10) supervisory experience managing a transportation motor pool operation
Candidate must have a valid CDL for light vehicles.
