Amentum is currently seeking a Mechanical Technician to support the Prototyping Integration Facility (PIF) of the Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Center (C5ISR) at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ areas.

Special Forces and the U.

Marine Corps integration of C5ISR operational prototypes onto a range Military Weapon Systems & Platforms (air, ground & sea) as well as performing C5ISR prototyping, integration, and testing support based on Real-World emerging needs of the Warfighter.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the C5ISR Center in the Fabrication & Integration / Future Systems & Experimentation Branches.
Plan and perform installation and test of mechanical modifications to, and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and structural components for, complex systems such as military shelters, aircraft, ground vehicles, etc.

Use hand tools, air tools, riveters, and sheet metal and machine tools such as shears, breaks, notchers, saws, milling machines, lathes, etc.
, as well as measuring tools, test instruments, and painting equipment.
Work from, and assist in the development of, engineering drawings.
Work independently, with minimal supervision.
As required, supervise a team of junior and journeyman technicians.
Required Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma.
Must have 8 years’ experience in mechanical design and metal shop practices of which 5 years shall be related to the fabrication and installation of parts for communications-electronics installations in military systems.
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance.
Please note US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate of a technical school
