Industrial Painter / Shop Tech

A manufacturing business located in Jessup Maryland is currently seeking a painter and shop hand/laborer.
Reliable transportation to and from work is required.
*Responsibilities:* - Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer - Mix paint and other coatings to achieve desired color and consistency - Apply paint using various techniques including airless paint spraying - Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate paint application - Perform basic math calculations to determine paint quantities needed - Operate power tools and equipment such as sanders, grinders, and spray guns - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area - Collaborate with team members to meet production goals - Moves, secures, installs, builds, loads or unloads materials - Support the Production Manager and Shop Foreman with a variety of tasks *Qualifications & Skills:* - Previous experience as an industrial painter or in a related field such as auto body repair or warehouse painting - Experience with paint spraying techniques preferred - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately - Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is a plus - Forklift certification is a plus - Preferred to have knowledge of manual mill & lathe - Auto body repair - Fabrication skills - Airless paint spraying techniques - Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues - Proficiency in using power and hand tools Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $17.
