Construction Project Manager

We specialize in mini-storage construction, exterior skins such as aluminum composite materials (ACM), insulated metal panels (IMP) or corrugated metal, post and beam structures, and structural framing.
With in-house machinery, we also design and produce custom trim, canopies, and other decorative exterior features.

*HRIC is looking for a motivated individual to estimate and manage construction projects.
*
Our desired applicant will be highly organized, with the ability to plan ahead and multitask to meet deadlines and keep projects under budget.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in construction management, particularly on the structural steel projects.
*Project Management Duties *
* Oversee construction projects from beginning to end
* Manage the budget and estimate costs
* Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed
* Keep track of inventory, tools and equipment
* Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule
* Report weekly on job status
* Resolve any problems that may arise
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes; evaluate risks
* Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects & key team members of the project
* Negotiate with external vendors on contract agreements
* Plan construction operations
* Ensure all deadlines are met
* Delegate responsibilities to Assistant Project Manager
* Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards, as necessary

This is a full-time, salaried position with a 60-day probation period with room for advancement within the company.
*Requirements *
* 5 years experience managing construction projects
* Knowledge of building envelope systems & commercial steel structures (not interior)
* Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment
* Knowledge of MS Office Suite
* Previous work experience in construction management or another similar role
* Understanding of construction management processes
* Excellent time management ability and highly organized.
* Able to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties
* Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation skills
* Capability to produce accurate & thorough work, with special attention to details
*Preferred*
* BSc/BA degree in Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field is preferred.
* PMP or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset
