This is a challenging and rewarding position with a mission to support the manufacturing, rework, & repair of Circuit Card Assemblies in our Rapid Solutions Manufacturing Group of Jacobs.
This opportunity involves working as part of the Surface Mount Assembly laboratory team working with prototypes, legacy assemblies, and full production builds for internal & external customers.
Responsibilities:
SMT Manufacturing Lab environment will require a lab coat and additional personal protective equipment in support of the lab’s cleanliness & safety requirements.
The work environment can be fast-paced and may involve deadline pressures.
Teamwork and cooperation with co-workers is crucial.
The noise level in the laboratory can be considered moderate but sustained for long periods of time.
Safety protocols in place shall be adhered to.
Inspect incoming bare PCB's, per IPC-600.
Review circuit board test coupons as necessary.
Review and understand documentation and packages for circuit board compliance.
Inspect in-process SMT assemblies pre and post reflow per IPC-610.
Equipment to be used: AOI, SPI, X-Ray Inspection, Ionic Cleanliness Tester, Bake out & Curing Ovens, Microscopes, & tool use for quality control as calipers and pin gages.
Attendance is always critical.
Work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday from 7am – 3:30pm.
times and days may vary depending on business requirements.
Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Two-year technical degree with 5+ years of experience in SMT quality control for printed circuit board assemblies.
The candidate must have background and knowledge in SMT and through-hole manufacturing processes.
Certify IPC-610 criteria for board assembly acceptability requirements.
Certify IPC-600 for printed boards acceptability requirements.
