Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a General Manufacturing Manager 2 to join our Final Assembly Manufacturing Team located in Linthicum, Maryland.
The General Manufacturing Manager 2 is responsible for the direct supervision of 25-30 represented (union) employees utilizing management guidelines, union Collective Bargaining Agreements and Company policies in a manufacturing environment.
What You will get to do: Driving employee efficiency using tools and data provided Schedule/Assign work to represented work force Ability to update and present Metrics for the area The ability to communicate with different organizations, Engineering, Production, Programs, etc.
Meet product cost and schedule targets using information provided Attend and add guidance to Corrective Action Board (CAB) meeting to improve product quality and test yields Manage the use of consumables to achieve budget targets Perform required SAP/MES transactions to ensure accuracy of Operator and Test Technicians transactions Maintain a safe working environment by interfacing with the Environmental, Health, Safety and Fire Protection Department Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 7+ years of experience; PhD with 4+ years of experience (13 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree) At least 3 years of manufacturing, production concepts, or engineering experience Minimum 2 years’ experience managing people directly Proficient in the use of MS office products Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.

Salary Range: $108,900 - $163,300 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
