The main function of this position is to provide preventative maintenance tasks to Honeywell building automation systems that are controlling HVAC equipment at commercial, federal government, state and municipal customer sites.
You will need to respond and resolve service calls providing technical support and troubleshooting to Honeywell customers.
Additional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of Small Service Jobs, and Reactive T&M may be assigned as well.
These customers will have various products installed that fall into the HVAC and Automation Controls systems category, as well as their associated computer systems.
The goal is to ensure system uptime and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Test, calibrate and verify system and peripheral devices (testing to be performed according to all applicable standards and codes.
Verify system functional performance to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements and shop drawings/sequence of operations, etc.
Perform system backups, install appropriate updates and patches
Complete documentation of all work done, including all readings, etc
Update customer drawings/documentation with any configuration or model changes
Ensure all assigned preventive maintenance tasks are completed in the time allotted and the month scheduled
Respond to and resolve Emergency Service Calls as required, in accordance with customer contract deliverables
Diagnose and perform repairs in a time effective manner
Participation in delivery of small service jobs, which could include engineering, drawings, programming, documentation, installation, management of sub-contractors, start-up, testing and customer acceptance
Keep abreast of changes and new developments in product and preventive maintenance techniques
Promote, build, and maintain good customer relations
Keep supervisor informed of customer requirements, systems status, and actual, potential or perceived customer problems
Supply information on adds or extras to appropriate Honeywell resource e.
g.
supervisor or account manager
Demonstrate system and provide training to customers as required
Supply quotes to customers on adds and extras identified or as requested
Carry out hazard and risk assessments for all tasks according to Honeywell policy, regulatory, and safety requirements
Report near misses, incidents, and other opportunities for improvement
Be responsible for Honeywell assets such as tools, proprietary software, and site database
Accurate and timely submission of all required paperwork, meet all reporting requirements
YOU MUST HAVE
2 Year Technical Degree or minimum of 3 years of experience working with HVAC, building automation systems, and computer hardware/software
Tridium/Niagara certification is preferred.
Additional building automation certifications (not necessarily Honeywell) is a plus
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Electric, Electronic and DDC systems
Strong communication and customer skills is strongly preferred
