*Job Description* *Summary* We are looking for a self-motivated estimator who can work alongside Sales and Production.
The person will form part of a multidisciplinary team, and should be comfortable working at a table, computer terminal, in the shop, or in the field.
You will usually work at our offices or your home, but will at times need to fulfill travel requirements and work on-site to obtain measurements, observe installs, and inspect site conditions.
To be successful as a estimator, you should stay up-to-date with new software and advancements.
An exceptional estimator will demonstrate impeccable attention to detail and have sound knowledge of the discipline.
We are currently seeking candidates with 3+ years’ of experience in commercial construction estimating.
Specific experience estimating commercial casework, and architectural millwork is highly desired.
Applicants must possess exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
We are looking for candidates that are self-motivated, team-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and exhibit a positive attitude, customer focus, and willingness to go the extra mile.
Additionally, experience handling heavy-volume deadline-driven workload is a must.

*Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:* * Compute cost by identifying material, purchased items, fabrication process and time requirements using company established rates.
* Prepares Fabrication quotations by analyzing RFQ’s, technical drawings, and associated specifications.
* Extensive blueprint reading and the ability to interpret and analyze specifications and tolerances.
* Attention to detail.
* Strong team orientation and relationship building.
A candidate that is really motivated and exciting for us will also possess some level of project management skills in the field of wood and/or metal working, *Position requirements:* * Excellent customer service, verbal, & written skills.
* Able and willing to learn and adapt to our systems and procedures.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and various online applications * _*Knowledge of Innergy ERP is a huge plus.
*_ * A working knowledge accessing virtual bid rooms and extracting documents.
* The ability to read, understand and evaluate architectural drawings and specifications.
* Comprehension of the bidding process and bid types (GC, Prime Bids, Direct to owner etc.
).
* Be able to compile, send and track pre-bid RFI’s.
* Have experience in sending RFQ’s to suppliers, track and evaluate incoming estimates.
* Be fluent in creating cost sheets and pricing within Excel and other estimating programs.
* Have experience working with Procore or similar construction software packages.
* Comfortably be able to negotiate and close post bid opportunities.
* Be versed in contract review and approval – with focus on verification of scope of work.
Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday * No nights / No weekends Supplemental pay types and Company Perks * Bonus pay * Every other Friday off ( We work approx 9 hours days for 9 working days each pay period).
