The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine is seeking volunteers for a research study, who are currently enrolled in a treatment program for opioid use disorder (OUD) and are prescribed Methadone, Vivitrol, or Buprenorphine.
This research study is evaluating if a sleep medication, Belsomra (suvorexant), is effective in improving sleep and stress during OUD recovery.
You may be eligible if you: - are currently enrolled in a treatment program for opioid use disorder (OUD) - are prescribed Methadone, Vivitrol, or Buprenorphine - are between the ages of 21-65 - have difficulty sleeping - are NOT pregnant or breastfeeding Participation requires 2 screen visits that last about 4 hours, and 9 weekly visits that last about 30 minutes.
Compensation up to $1000 and free transportation to the Bayview Medical Center will be provided.
