Construction Estimator

*Company Description:* We are a family-owned, Commercial Contracting Company, specializing in SWM construction and maintenance for over 25 years.
Currently seeking an experienced Estimator for our growing team.
*Job Description:* * Perform quantity take-off for Earthwork & Sediment & Erosion Controls.
* Review plans and specifications for take-off purposes.
* Submit request for information to the client for missing information and to clarify conflicts between the plans and specifications.
* Solicit vendors and subcontractors for job pricing and maintain strong working relationships.
* Prepare proposals and bid follow up.
* Attend pre-bid meetings and visit the job site as necessary to document existing conditions.
* Communicate clearly and courteously with Customers, Vendors & Subcontractors.
* Maintain files of working documents.
*Job Qualifications:* * Valid Driver's License.
* Knowledge of Erosion & Sediment controls, Site Work/Grading.
* Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints design drawings, project plans, and related documents.
* Must possess excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
* Be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written.
* Must have ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
* Must be able to pass a background check due to multiple projects being located on government facilities.
* Two or more years’ experience as a construction estimator preferred.
* Experience with Heavy Bid is preferred but not required.
