Job Summary:
Fabricate, weld, maintain and repair all plant machinery as well as maintenance and repair within the plant facility.
Assist as needed in other areas of the facility including other departments.
Responsibilities:
Fabricate or repair equipment by welding or using other methods necessary.
Assigns routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of the buildings does not deteriorate.
Troubleshoot production equipment to include blenders, scaling systems, sifters, hammer and roller mills and vertical form filling machines.
Able to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems in the production plant and facility.
Assist with the maintaining and repairing of electrical systems consisting of 120v, 220v, 480v.
Maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
Other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma/GED required
CAD experience preferred
Structural Stainless Steel highly preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience MIG and TIG welding
Welding certification including MIG and TIG
Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and reading schematics, license or certifications are a plus
Experience maintaining and repairing production machinery
Experience with PVC, copper and metal pipe
Must be familiar with and routinely use all personal safety procedures and equipment related to the duties of this position
Good oral and written communication skills
Must be able to stand and complete tasks for extended durations
Ability to operate equipment such as a forklift and/or scissor lift, etc.
Must be able to read blueprints and electrical schematics
Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
