WOODSHOP FOREMAN

Craters & Freighters was founded in June 1990 to meet the needs of businesses and consumers for specialty freight handling.
This includes crating, packaging and shipping of items that are too heavy, over-sized, valuable, awkward, and time-sensitive.
We are seeking an experienced Shop Foreman for our growing Baltimore location.
This is a hands-on management position.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and supervising the construction of all crates, pallets, and packing while helping to supervise a 8-12 member crew and ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed.
* Ability to organize job tasks for crew members in a manner which provides for success and business profit.
Complete projects on time and within budget.
* Assist in organizing pickup and deliveries as needed.
* Maintain shop inventory and weekly vehicle inspections * Execute change order as required for work performed beyond the original scope.
* Perform routine service and maintenance on tools.
* Involvement with employee relations/ performance discussions.
* Qualifications: * * Minimum of 4 years management experience.
* *Wood working experience a must* * *Forklift Experience a must* * *Previous experience working with crates/pallet building or framing a plus.
* * Ability to build a crate/pallet from plans/drawings or verbal instruction * The ability to work effectively as a team member and leader.
* Willingness to comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
, with occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $66,500.
00 - $68,500.
