_*Job Summary:*_
The Shift Supervisor oversees and manages the production shift.
This position executes the daily plan, resolves issues/problems, maintains records, and reports.
It also ensures compliance with safety and housekeeping standards as well as quality and quantity standards.
_*Supervisory Responsibilities:*_
* Supervises production employees on their shift.
Including but not limited to machine operators, material handlers, and mechanics.
* Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
_*Duties/Responsibilities:*_
· Responsible for the planning, coordinating, and control of the manufacturing facility.
· Ensure that goods and services are produced efficiently, of the right quality, quantity, and cost, produced on time, at the right price, and to the satisfaction of the customer.
· In charge of scheduling, staffing, maintaining all equipment, quality of product, inventory control, and coordinating production activities with other departments.
· Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of the manufacturing status to the Operations Manager and COO along with other management personnel.
· Supervise and motivate employees, ensure that employees are following company policy and procedures.
· Overall accountability for all programs/projects assigned to your division.

personnel and material needs.
· Work with appropriate teams to set and meet quality standards.
· Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
· Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs.
· Ensure accuracy of manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in-process production reports, material movement, status, and location with the Warehouse Manager.
· Ensure that all the processes and procedures are being followed.
· Identify, implement, and track training needs.
· Ensure appropriate work instructions and technical data is utilized and properly stored.
· Drive process improvement initiatives (standard operating procedures, work instructions, company policies etc.
)
· Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
· Troubleshoot problems that arise; involve Human Resources when applicable.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
_*Required Skills/Abilities: *_
* Proven management track record in supervising and motivating production floor functions required to support company operations.
* Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
* Proactive approach to problem solving.
* Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.
* Must be able to multi-task on a daily basis.
* Must be able to work overtime.
_*Education and Experience:*_
* Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in a high-volume production environment is required.
* PC literate in MS Office Suite
* Experience with ERP Systems
* Six Sigma or lean manufacturing training preferred.
_ *Physical Requirements: *_
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
* Must be able to climb, kneel, bend, squat
* Must be able to grasp, push, pull and have fine motor skills
* Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
