We are hiring a full-time carpenter who will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
A successful candidate will have the following:
* A background in finish carpentry, cabinet and laminating.
* Must be able to read drawings, be able to create your own layouts & generate cut lists.
* Must on occasion be able to take the lead on a project from just a simple rendering.
* Reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements.
* Taking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed.
* Cutting, shaping and smoothing lumber and other material (e.
g.
fiberglass) according to measurements.
* Installing and repairing new and old builds.
* Must have a working knowledge of industry standard shop tools.
* Must be able to handle a fast paced environment.
* Candidates must be able to work long and flexible hours, including weekends.
A successful candidate should have at least 3 years' experience in the following fields:
* Carpentry
* Woodwork
* Extensive knowledge of power tools, including skill saw, miter saw, and jigs
* Experienced with working in CAD is a bonus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.
00 - $35.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
