We are currently seeking a Production Planning Supervisor to establish and maintain the productions plans and master schedule.
The Production Planning Supervisor’s purpose is to provide a means to track and manage daily manufacturing workload, provide feedback to engineering and production on in-house vs subcontracted manufacturing hours, and provide regular reporting on manufacturing status.
As an essential member of the Ellicott team you will be working closely with purchasing, production, and shipping/receiving to review and monitor progress of schedule and work to resolve issues that may delay completion.

*Essential Responsibilities* include but are not limited to:
* Work with purchasing and manufacturing to determine delivery schedule of purchase components required for subassemblies and/or finished goods.
* Develop and coordinate the manufacturing of finished goods, subassemblies or components.
* Plan, prepare, and prioritize schedule for production utilizing inventory information and production rates to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
* Review production progress and work to eliminate delays by expediting materials shipments or revise the production schedule due to labor shortages or production issues.
* Coordinate with engineering and production to establish sequential order for manufacturing and assembly of finished goods or subassemblies.
* Monitor, analyze, and report performance of schedule to production and production support activities, utilizing information derived from material and production control systems.
* Release of dredge builds and optional equipment utilizing MRP system.
* Actively participate in a continuous improvement culture providing recommendations and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures.
* Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.
* Supervise production planners
* Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
* Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements.
* Coordinate delivery of parts to expedite flow of material to meet production schedule.
* Coordinate/expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved.
* Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
*Supervisory Responsibilities*
* Bachelor’s degree in Business/STEM.
Experience in a related industry accepted in leu of education
* Supervisory experience
* In-depth knowledge of MRP and ERP software preferred.
NetSuite experience a plus
* Working knowledge of MS Office
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and effectively present information to others
