Quality Assurance Materials Inspector
Department: Quality Assurance
QA Materials Inspector position is responsible for inspection and approval incoming materials and outgoing shipments by verification of specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
QA Materials Inspector will review and issue Certificate of Compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Establishing quality standards for products a company produces
• Reading specifications to ensure that materials meet production standards
• Recommending any necessary adjustments and changes to production processes
• Inspecting and testing the materials and equipment received or released
• Identifying strategies to improve process flow
• Accepting or rejecting finished products and discussing inspection
• Performing inspections at random to assess product quality
• Reviewing GMP documentation
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing QA/RA tasks
Skills/Abilities:
Strong background Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs
Proficient in MasterControl, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
Knowledge and experience in Good Documentation Practices
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
Ability to influence others to follow rules and regulations
Strong leadership skills and teamwork mentality
Verbal and written communication skills
Dexterity, physical strength and physical stamina
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree, Science or Engineering related
2–4 years’ experience of inspection of receipt and release of materials in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or biopharmaceutical environment preferred
Work Hours:
Position is full time, on site.
Monday through Friday – 9am-5:00pm
Occasional early and late work and weekend work may be required.
