ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
* Install, set up, and calibrate lasers and other survey equipment
* Shovel, rake, transfer, grade materials such as dirt and stone
* Drive, mark, remove or replace grade stakes
* Measure and mark grades using rulers, levels, strings, or lasers
* Secure utility devices using straps, ropes or chains
* Utilize saws, torches and cutting devices
* Apply cement, glue and other adhesives
* Operate tampers, rollers or other compaction devices
* Other duties as assigned
COMPETENCIES & REQUIREMENTS
* Knowledge of tools, materials, methods and techniques for pipe laying
* Ability to interpret plans and stakes
* Communication skills, ability to comprehend instruction
* Competent Person Training
