POSITION SUMMARY The Electronic Technician will assemble machined parts with the required hardware, calibrate the test set-up to make measurement test plans and create test reports.
They will work with a team of design and test engineers to build and test prototype antennas and systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Assemble and wire, using schematics and blueprints completing electromechanical assemblies forming all necessary cabling, wiring, and routing per drawings.
Soldering and crimping of mechanical assemblies.
Assist in the development of work instructions and procedures.
Assist with new products transitioning to production.
Keep work area clean and organized to present a professional workplace environment.
Identifying potential production issues.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

SKILLS & ABILITIES Experience needed: 2+ years of experience working with and tuning passive microwave components including hybrids, magic tees, filters, OMTs, and different antennas.
Other Requirements: Ability to test assemblies using tools such as network analyzers and signal generators.
Ability to troubleshoot and research manufacturing issues.
Knowledge of mechanical assembly concepts in performing assembly to schematics.
Advanced soldering with IPC training/certification Knowledge of use, repair, and maintenance of machines and tools.
Ability to read drawings and bill of materials.
Ability to lift 25 lbs and be on their feet most of the day.
Education: Associate’s degree in engineering, technology or advanced electromechanical experience in RF environment or US Military electronics training.
