Gordian Energy Systems is seeking Project Managers for Commercial Solar installations.
An excellent Construction Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.
The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.
Responsibilities include:
* Track and report budgets for projects and measure financial and construction progress vs.
budget.
* Create and manage the construction schedule to ensure that commitments to the customer are met.
* Direct and manage the project lifecycle from preliminary planning to job close out.
* Hire and manage sub-contractors.
* Monitor vendor relationships, including managing product deliveries and payment terms.
* Prepare product selection submittals.
* Update job tracking manage and document change orders.
* Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones; proactively manage changes in scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
* Assure that our valued employees, sub-contractors and the public are in a safe, OSHA compliant, work environment.
* Assure that clients are invoiced in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements:
* 3 years of Commercial Construction PM experience.
* Proven ability to interpret building and NEC codes and utility requirements.
* Ability to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, etc.
plans and specifications.
* Advanced understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, codes, design/build contracts, and construction means and methods.
* Must be willing to work on the job site if needed and enjoy the flexibility of a changing and challenging industry.
* Occasional travel as well as willingness to work a variety of hours, including occasional evenings and weekends as required by the specific project.
* Proven track record with client satisfaction and project profitability, and ability to get things done.
* Proven ability to get things done; be passionate about your work.
* A curiosity to learn and the maturity to handle challenges and help grow the team's capabilities.
* Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Clean driver’s record with reliable transportation.
* Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
Preferred, but not required:
* Experience using Procore or other project management software.
* Supervisory experience of multiple crews.
* OSHA Certification.
* Solar Background.
