Responsibilities and Duties
Adhere to all Modular Genius, Inc.
Safety Policies, OSHA, customer and/or site-specific safety requirements.
Abide by all Modular Genius, Inc.
policies as found in the “Modular Genius, Inc.
Employee Handbook”
Perform necessary tasks during the installation of modular units at the project site.
Duties include, but are not limited to, digging and/or erecting foundations and piers, rigging, removing and discarding shipping materials, removal of hitches, axles, and tires, installation of structural connections, installation of interior & exterior finishes, painting, roof seaming & flashing, installation of crawl space skirting, installation of gutters & downspouts, typical construction layout (i.
e.
walls, foundation/footing/piers).
Perform necessary tasks during the removal of modular units at the project site.
Duties are similar to installation but in reverse order.
Perform warranty and /or service repairs as required
Operate equipment such as: company trucks, Translift, skid-steer/track loader, all-terrain forklift, boom lift, scissor lift and other equipment as required.
Perform visual inspections of company trucks, trailers, and equipment on a regular basis and communicate maintenance needs with the Foreman and/or Site Superintendent.
Loading and unloading building materials as required
Maintain a safe and neat working environment by removing hazards and debris from the work areas
Perform physically demanding tasks in typical outdoor construction environments
Proficient use of typical hand tools and power tools such as: tape measure, hammer, utility knife, metal snips, pneumatic fasteners (nail guns), cordless power tools (drill, screw gun, recip.
saw), corded power tools (circular saw, hammer drill, miter saw, grinders), pressure washers, and other typical carpentry/construction tools.
Follow instructions from the Site Superintendent, Project Manager, and other Modular Genius, Inc.
Management.
Complete assigned tasks in a safe, timely and efficient manner
Record hours worked using the ADP application on a smart phone at the end of each workday.
Qualifications and Skills
Safety Conscious
Team Player
High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior construction experience is a must
Able to speak, read, and write English
Able to perform typical construction math computations (i.
e.
adding and subtracting feet, inches, and fractions)
Able to lift 75 pounds by yourself
Able to work at heights up to 40 feet
Able to work in small areas (i.
e.
18” crawl space under building)
Able to work outdoors, year-round on typical construction sites
Must be flexible with work schedule
Must be willing to travel and stay overnight for up to a week at a time
Must have reliable means of communication (i.
e.
Cell Phone)
Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must have reliable transportation
