*Position Summary* CIP provides students with valuable entry-level job experiences at businesses and non-profits across Baltimore, allowing them to contribute to their education costs by working five full days each month.
The Corporate Sales Manager is critical in bridging this gap by cultivating relationships with corporate partners.
This role leads the sales cycle, identifying sponsors, conducting meetings, and securing financial contributions.
With a focus on networking and relationship building, they collaborate with stakeholders to ensure students access meaningful job opportunities.
Their dedication to our mission ensures continued support for our students' educational advancement.
*What You’ll Do* ● Oversee the entire sales cycle with new partners, identifying prospects, arranging face-to-face meetings, presenting the program, addressing inquiries and objections, and ultimately closing contracts with new sponsors.
● Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of potential corporate placements through referrals from current sponsors, research, and proactive outreach efforts.
Ensure accurate record-keeping of all activities related to potential corporate sponsors in Salesforce.
● Collaborate with the Director of CIP to cultivate and nurture relationships with executive decision-makers at corporate partners, aiming to secure referrals for new placements.
● Develop connections with key "centers of influence" that serve as sources of referrals and introductions to potential placements.
● Utilize the President and Director of CIP as appropriate, involving them in meetings with prospects to enhance credibility and support.
● Serves as staff liaison to the CIP Committee of the Board of Trustees, identifying and generating new CIP business opportunities.
Leverages the committee's contacts to identify prospective employers and provide training and guidance to committee members to effectively represent the CIP within the Baltimore business community.
● Engage Board members, faculty, staff, community leaders, and other supporters to assist in cultivation activities aimed at securing new job opportunities.
● Attend networking events and other relevant gatherings to continuously expand the prospect list and foster relationships with potential partners.
● Attend school fundraising events to nurture relationships with current and potential corporate partners, aligning efforts with the school's broader fundraising goals.
● Coordinate visits by prospective sponsors to the school, providing them with insights into the program and fostering a positive impression.
● Plan and execute job recruitment events to facilitate student placements and enhance corporate engagement.
● Ensure ongoing communication and relationship maintenance with companies that do not initially sign on as sponsors, supporting efforts to convert them into supporters of the school's events and programs.
● Collaborate with the Director of Development to leverage and cultivate individual donor prospects identified through the job recruitment process to benefit the school overall.
*Who You Are* ● Bachelor's degree required, Master’s Degree or other advanced degree preferred.
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in non-profit fundraising/sales or corporate sales ● Self-starter with a readiness to tackle challenges, accept responsibility, and adapt quickly.
● Ability to connect and build relationships with students and faculty / staff, integral to effectively selling the program.
● Natural ability to network with professionals and establish new connections.
● Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Salesforce.
