The Leasing Representative will show apartments to potential residents, lease apartments to qualified applicants and renew leases with current residents.
The Leasing Representative will maintain a thorough knowledge of the property, rental units, community, and competitive properties in the area.
Reports to the on-site Leasing Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties: (include but not limited to)
Greets visitors, prospective residents, and current residents in a professional manner.
Answers incoming telephone calls from prospective residents and current residents.
Prepares flyers, resident letters, and court notices for the manager to review, when necessary.
Processes service requests into the property management system and ensures prompt response to all inquiries.
Complies with company policies, procedures, safety protocols, Fair Housing and other applicable laws and regulations.
Assists the Leasing Manager with resident retention efforts.
Manages, reviews, and responds to the Queue and emails throughout the day.
Ensures available and model apartments are fresh and tidy.
Completes lease applications for all applicants in the property management system.
Communicates emergency maintenance requests to the service staff.
Reviews and tracks all Renters Insurance Policies received from residents.
Generates and reviews residential lease agreements for accuracy.
Prepares move-in materials for new residents.
Attentive and cautious with regards to the overall security of the property, keeping all keys in your possession, not to be handed to unauthorized person, including contractors.
Logs all information into the property management system on a daily basis, including phone calls, visitors, applications, work orders, and any other relevant information.
Communicates work orders for the service staff after inspecting vacant units prior to move-in.
Assist with recordkeeping, filing, and paperwork as required.
Investigates and helps resolve tenant complaints.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Positive, friendly demeanor and ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
Excellent interpersonal skills with customer service and sales.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Familiarity with real estate contracts and leases.
Experience with Yardi Systems preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Requirements:
Previous experience in property management, sales, or other related fields.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prolonged periods of walking the property, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to fifteen pounds at times.
Must present a neat and professional appearance at all times.
Must provide current contact information such as phone number and email address.
May be required to work at various locations/properties within the company.
Must be able to work weekends and/or events on a rotating schedule.
