JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Outreach Specialist will play a critical role in our agency's efforts to recruit clients for our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP), Outpatient Mental Health Program (OP), and Outpatient Psychiatric Intensive Program (OPI).
This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of mental health services, and a passion for connecting individuals with the care they need.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, compassionate, and able to build relationships with clients and community partners.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage potential clients for PRP, OP, and OPI programs.
Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and other referral sources.
Conduct outreach activities such as presentations, workshops, and community events.
Collaborate with clinical staff to assess client needs and determine program eligibility.
Coordinate client intake and enrollment processes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
Provide support to clients and families throughout the enrollment process.
Monitor and track program enrollment and outcomes.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or bachelor's degree in social work, psychology/counseling, or related field
Experience in community engagement and outreach.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work well with multiple priorities and projects.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of mental health services and programs in Maryland.
Proficiency in social media and digital communication tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; previous experience in electronic medical record systems a plus.
