Overview
This position is responsible for providing initial site inspection, scoping the loss, securing work authorizations, and performing specified maintenance and restoration in compliance with IICRC standards.
The Emergency Mitigation Technicians assists the ES Superintendent on all Water Damage claims, Carpet cleaning/Floor cleaning jobs, and Fire and Smoke damage claims.
They are on 24 hour emergency call status rotation (unless prior scheduling for being off-call).
Responsibilities
Physically fit with no health issues that would interfere with the physical demands and/or conditions with the work environments customary for this type of work.
Provide initial site inspection
Scope fire, wind, water, and disaster related losses
Secure work authorization for the site
Perform the applied structural drying per the IICRC standards
Provide moisture mapping and documentation
Conduct demolition after fire or flood
Remove carpets, carpet pads, drywall, insulation, etc.
from job site
Haul debris from job site to truck as well as moving customer’s personal items away from work area
Move dehumidifiers and fans to and from work site
Drive and operate truck and machinery (Extraction machine, mop up pump, dehumidifiers, etc.
)
Participate in 24 hour on call rotation and respond with a maximum sense of urgency.
Some (minimal) evening and weekend hours are necessary as the firm is a 24/7 disaster response company.
Physical demands regularly required include, but are not limited to:
Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
Occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing more than 100 pounds
Performs other functionally related duties as assigned
