We are seeking to add an Event Manager for our greater Baltimore market.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Event Manager will be responsible for all operational aspects of the coordination and development of shows and events while providing excellence for the customers AFR serves.
Will also oversee for the proper set up according to the client’s requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and develop all operational aspects of Show-Site operations.
Deliver the highest level of customer service in the most efficient manner possible.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure that deadlines are met.
Oversee event setup and breakdown to ensure that the event proceeds smoothly and efficiently.
Oversee the planning, implementing, and coordinating activities, to maximize service quality effectiveness and efficiency on assigned shows.
Manage all operations activities to ensure compliance with department and organizational policies and procedures.
Manage budgets and expenses for each event to ensure profitability.
Ensure proper billing practices and proper documentation to ensure accurate invoicing for the purpose of capturing all revenue.
Manage people and assets for all assigned shows to ensure direct costs are at or below plan.
In conjunction with the Director, review all labor calls and staffing plans on assigned shows to ensure they are fact based and in alignment with the plan, the show budget, and service requirement.
Manage the labor and productivity tracking and reporting process.
Assist in show labor analysis.
Work with other departments to accommodate special requests for high profile clients, and partners.
Responsible for managing relationships across multiple stakeholders at senior-most level.
Resolve escalated operational problems or issues to ensure customer satisfaction with problem resolution.
Manage the compliance requirements for OSHA, DOT, and Safety Requirements, and manage teams to perform in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
Must demonstrate ability to interface with individuals in a supervisory capacity as well as to comfortably interface with customers and senior level managers.
This position will require 40% travel.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Marketing, Business Administration, or similar field of study.
Languages: English and Spanish languages preferable, verbal and written.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS: LEAN Six Sigma project experience or other form of continuous improvement experience for operational processes is preferred.
