*PAY RATE: $650/per case *
*Qualifications:*
* Master’s degree in Social Work and social work license
* Able to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
* Excellent writing skills.
* Possess valid driver’s license with properly registered and insured vehicle.
* Provide satisfactory FBI, state criminal and child abuse clearances in accordance with Regulations and Policy and medical report indicating capability to perform essential job functions and satisfy regulations.
* Provide a safe and satisfactory DMV record.
* Ability to read, write and speak the English language to perform duties.
* Follow written and verbal instructions and manage multiple tasks.
*Job Description:*
* To recruit and complete home studies using the “Safe” model for quality resource families to provide foster/kinship services with Children’s Choice
* To meet with interested families, to provide information to them, to obtain personal data from them
* To schedule and complete home safety checks, using the forms and policies provided by the agency
* To inform prospective resource families about the mission statement, core values, policies, and procedures of Children’s choice, so they may make a reasoned decision about becoming a part of the treatment team
* To explore with prospective families their parenting techniques and beliefs as well as their understanding of how foster children will be incorporated into their family
* To assess the family’s suitability as a Children’s Choice resource family and complete the written home study on each family, addressing areas of strengths and weaknesses, and make recommendations for approval
* To relay summary information on each family to Program Coordinator(s) at regularly scheduled meetings
* To attend all scheduled staff meetings or submit a written report to PC prior to meeting, in-service training sessions and supervisory conferences
* To submit completed home study packets containing all necessary documentation including recommendations
* To act as lead Pre-Service trainer assisting with presentations as requested
* To submit monthly statistical reports to the State Administrator
* To assist with reviewing written referral material and matching accepted children with licensed resource homes
* To attend pre-placement meetings between the potential resource parent candidate and children being considered for placement at the request of the chain of command
* To attend DSS provider meetings to review children needing placement in TFC at the request of the chain of command
* To complete home study packets containing all required information within 120 days
* To market the need for resource parents in the community thus generating leads for prospective applicants
